Dropping a hint. Like a bomb...

I took my friend A to a hospital, as he was down with fever, headache and other ailments. It was quite a big hospital. We went to meet the duty doctor. There was pictures all around the hospital walls. But what caught my attention was a picture at the duty doctor room. It was a picture of vulture!! yeah, they had hung a picture of the king of carcass, at the first place every patient will be ushered in!! Oh my God, if there had been an award for the subtlest hint, it should take the cake..er...award. First I was furious at their choice of picture, then I started to laugh at that. Atleast, they were frank about the possible consequences, a patient will suffer, having come to them!

The vulture was typically associated with the goddess Nekhebet who was the patroness of the city of El-Kab in Upper Egypt. The bird also served as a symbol of the feminine, often in opposition to the scarab who signified the male principle. This is in Egypt.

Moreover, The vulture is considered "unclean" in many cultures for its habit of feeding on carrion. But unlike most other large soaring birds, the vulture does not kill, nor cause to be killed, any living thing. It takes only what is given.

Even Parsis in India feed their dead bodies to vultures.

Every coin has two sides.
So every bad thing has a positive side too. Depends on how we look at it.

@ Senthil - All depends on the context!

@ Fathima - At hospital, for a patient, it is difficult to associate a vulture with a positive meaning. :-))
